Helen Shulkin

Helen Shulkin is a contemporary artist based in Hamburg engaging with post-architectural spaces that represent the abstract manifold of any wealthy city in my work. In this process, she mostly creates oil paintings in an expressive manner where rich cities are on the verge of losing their balance, on the verge of irreversible movement, crumbling and stratification into separate structures and planes. Her work was awarded in the frame of the OSTEN Biennial of Drawing and is collected worldwide in public and commercial collections such as State Library in Berlin and Rolfe Judd in London.
