Chris Cyprus was born in 1971 in the Manchester suburb of Gorton, eventually moving to the rolling Pennine hills of Lancashire in the late 1970’s.

In 2017, Chris achieved resounding success with his “Northern Lights” series of over 250 paintings between 2014-2017 highlighting the plight of traditional sodium lighting being replaced by LED bulbs. The evocative observations of Northern British towns and landscapes at dusk were consequently featured on BBC’s One Show and ITV’s Northwest Tonight’.

Despite facing numerous challenges, Chris’s determination and passion have guided him on the ‘path least travelled’ towards a fulfilling artistic career. His warm-hearted and captivating artwork continues to touch the lives of many, spreading joy and inspiration to collectors of his work around the world.
