Lee studied 3D design, Glass & Ceramics at Sunderland University. His studio is based in the Manchester Arts & Crafts Centre in the Northern Quarter. He has been creating ceramics in a variety of forms for 33 years. He exported his ceramic tiles to America for 10 years.
For Hope Gallery Lee create a beautiful collection of Earthenware and Porcelain bowls and vases. His ceramics are multi layered that have been fired three, sometimes four times. He incorporates slips, metallic lustres and enamel transfers. Also uses wallpaper, Doyle’s, found textures, stamps and lace. Lee takes influence from Japanese and Indian colours and aesthetics.
