I’m interested in land, place and memory; layers of history and traces of time. My work is mainly inspired by the Lincolnshire landscape in which I live and walk daily.
Process is central to my work. The physicality of layering: mark making, sanding and scraping. Originally from Lancashire, I took a degree in psychology at the University of Sheffield. I later studied Art and Design at Doncaster and was awarded BA First Class Honours through Hull University. I then took an MA in Fine Art at Lincoln University. I work both from home and from my studio in Gainsborough on the riverside.
